The Inception Story

The story of Hobbs Equipment Inc. is rooted in pure determination, elite skill, and decades of hands-on experience. Our founder and Director, Mr. Peterson Hobbs, began operating heavy-duty equipment at just 18 years old, dedicating years to mastering multiple types of machinery. His natural leadership and technical expertise quickly propelled him to the role of Foreman at Bacassa Developments.

Driven to venture independently, Mr. Hobbs stepped out in 2011 with nothing more than a single truck and a bobcat. Despite the intense capital demands and challenges of acquiring heavy machinery, his grit paid off. From small independent jobs, the business expanded steadily, culminating in the formal incorporation of Hobbs Equipment Inc. in 2016. Today, we stand as a premier force in the construction and earthmoving space across Barbados.
